Landscaping

Landscaping started with a system of surface and subsurface drains to collect and control rain water. Soil was brought in for the gardens. Fill dirt (previously excavated during the construction of the footings and sub grade) was brought back to the site to use for grading of the remainder of the site. Sod was installed over most of the site.

For the gardens, a combination of hearty perennial ornamental grasses and herbs were selected including:

  • Pink Muhly Grass (Muhlenbergia capillaris)
  • Arkansas Blue Star (Amsonia hubrichtii)
  • Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
